China Glaze Electric Pineapple is part of their Summer 2011 collection called Island Escape.
Or maybe my camera freaks out at the intensity of the polish. Either way…come on over and see what the brightness is about!
Hm…Not quite the color of evil. I think it overshot the mark. Do you? 😉
The shade shot best represents the color of the polish – it’s not as yellow as the sunlight shot. It has deep green undertones in it, but still keeps it on the yellow side. I love this color. Mr Carinae, OTOH, rolled his eyes and asked me when I was going to take it off. Meanie. 🙁
While you can still see the green undertone, it’s not as pronounced here.
Formula: one streaky, hot mess. Drying time didn’t seem so traumatic, but the formula…ugh. Cuticle pull, tendencies to run off my fingers. Could barely keep it on the brush because it was so anxious to be anywhere *but* on the brush. I shook my head, hoping the other colors from China Glaze would be better. Drying time on this was passable and acceptable enough. However, you can see the VNL on my ring finger and middle finger (as well as my pinky!) in the sunlight shot. I ended up trying to make the coat so thick in the hopes that it would just have overall coverage. Nope.
Moody formula aside, I do like China Glaze Electric Pineapple. Will you brave purchasing this for summer?! I’m tempted to wear this with Illamasqua’s Gamma…and Gamma will be posted soon! Like on Saturday or Monday. I’m currently blinded by it as I type!
