Why is Lumina Lacquer Dreamlover so unexpected? Well, not really unexpected so much as OMG SO AWESOME!!!? This is a neon pink glitter with various shapes. We’re not talking small, normal neon pink shapes. We’re talking BUTTERFLIES! So cute…and HEARTS! It also has hexagons and squares, too! It’s so damn adorable. Plus, it has a lovely undertone that is a blue/purple almost glass-like fleck glitter, but bigger. The base is clear, but I think the neon pink glitter bled slightly, lending a slightly pink tinge. It doesn’t really effect the polish one way or another, but I know that for some people, it could be a real problem. It’s a non-issue for me.
Lumina Lacquer Dreamlover was a bit slow to dry and because it’s a glitter, it was lumpy. Of course, it doesn’t help that I put on three coats. Don’t ask. For some reason, I just wanted to see what it was like. I would advise to not put more than 2 layers on. Plus, this is also such a great chunky glitter, you can afford to dab and place. I sort of just slapped it on, all willy nilly and it chunked up quite quickly. It also doesn’t help that I have small nail beds, so I think that played a big role, too. So while lumpy, nothing that a good top coat can take care of – like KB Shimmer’s Clearly on Top or Glisten & Glow’s HK Girl.
Now that you’ve seen this, will you be adding this to your glitter arsenal? I think you need it. It’s very rare to see glitter like this. I’m glad I got it.
Until next time,
