I got all hot and bothered with magnetic nail polish a few years ago. They were released in limited edition batches by several manufacturers – Essence and Lancome come to mind. I had such a huge WANT for it. I was willing to pay whatever I had to for it. Sadly, everyone held on to their bottles with a handful of people eventually selling on eBay.
Imagine my surprise one day when I heard about this brand called LCN and they had *gasp* MAGNETIC NAIL POLISH!

Ok, enough of the Bananarama Venus lyrics, but really the name of this color from Jessica Nail Polish is called Venus Was Her Name. How could I NOT throw in lyrics for good measure?!
I got a call from a BFF going, “What is that color you were looking for from Revlon? Is it called Perplex?”
Me: “OMG…YES! WHERE ARE YOU?”
BFF: “I’m at Big Lots. They have three left and…”
Me: “GET THEM ALL. DO YOU HEAR ME? GET THEM ALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! ALL OF THEM! I LOVE THAT COLOR. WELL, I DON’T KNOW IF I WILL LOVE THAT COLOR, BUT I WANT THEM ALL ANYWAY!”
BFF: “Ok. Stop yelling in my ear. They’re a dollar each.”
Me: *faints*
I got the package 2 days later. Yay for NAIL MAIL!! Thank you, Karen! Thank you, thank you!!!
