Zoya – Dannii

Part of Zoya’s Spring 2011 Intimate Collection, Dannii is yet another color that doesn’t fail.

How can you not love this color? Come see the color behind the jump!

I fully admit to putting off swatching this collection because I thought I had seen it all. You know, others have swatched it. I forgot that the sole purpose of this blog was to show the colors I have and how it played with my Filipina skin tone. How could I forget? I sometimes get carried away with purchasing and seeing colors on other blogs. I think that the color that looks so stunning on say…Kelly over at Vampy Varnish, are automatically going to look good and flatter my skin tone. Au contraire!

Dannii is a color that can be described as a pinky-kind of violet with a beautiful gold sparkle…but it seem so much more! As always, please click on the thumbnails to enlarge the images. These pictures are huge.

This color is deceptive in the shade. You can see pretty little hints of glitter. However, you don’t completely see the full beauty…yet. In the shade it’s a pretty purple with something that looks like it could be glitter. When you get to the sunlight shot, this girl really shines.

What sets Dannii apart from other colors I’ve worn is that when put into direct sunlight, the color washes out and becomes a pale imitation of itself. Not so with Dannii. It seemed to get darker, deeper. Almost as if to buck convention and thumb her pretty little purple nose at the sun. As it say, “You can’t wash me out!”

Formula: Fast drying. Opaque in two coats. No tendencies for cuticle pull.
