Chanel Mimosa is sold out and is part of their Summer 2011 Collection. I went to my Chanel counter and they had it! Woo hoo. It was meant to be. One of three colors for Chanel’s Flowers of Summer (Les Fleurs d’Ã©tÃ©), Mimosa is a shade I’m somewhat happy I chose.

I had to share this picture. If you don’t follow me on Facebook you have missed this gem. It was taken at my parents’ house. I had just made a late brunch – poached eggs, toast, bacon and pan fried potatoes. We were sitting at the couch watching a spot of telly. I put my plate down and felt like I was being watched…I was! Click the picture to get the full size image.

All you see in the foreground is food…and then you see puppy spy. Such a cute little guy. He hates it when he can’t see food. LOL He hates it even more when you’re eating and he wants some. The joys of owning a dog like this – they’re perpetually hungry, but don’t fall for the big sad eyes.

He is freshly shaved, in anticipation for the summer! How adorable does he look? He almost looks puppy-ish again, but the big ole head is a dead giveaway.

Chanel Riva vs Revlon Blue Lagoon

I saw Blue Lagoon at my Walgreens and went, “Ohh…I can do a comparison to Riva!” and they have some shocking similarities. They’re both shockingly shitty with application. There I said it. I blasphemed the La Maison de Chanel. Revlon – eh. Like they care.

Despite the craptastic application, they’re both pretty colors.

LaRosa Crackles – Metallics

Happy Monday! I’m trying to be perky, but I’m currently going through a tiny bout of insomnia. Mostly due to allergies…thanks to the angry little dust bunnies I had inadvertently stirred up. I should’ve let sleeping dust bunnies lie, right? *sneeze* Maybe not. Anyway, I decided to slap on the metallic crackles from LaRosa. I’ve been avoiding it for weeks now and I figured I’d better get it over and done with before I start to get annoyed with myself. I hate it when I get things and then just put it aside. I’ve decided to be more diligent about using the things I purchase.

I’ve finally decided…I’m not a fan of crackles/shatters. I hate that they make my manicure look gross and unpolished. While I’m a fan of seeing a color underneath, it’s that crackle/shatter effect I find revolting. That said, I’m going to be having a cracklin’/shatterin’ giveaway soon because I don’t want them in my collection. It’ll be La Rosa and all 12 of their crackles, so stay tuned!
