I admit that YSL Rouge Pablo 49 is very pricey – at $27 a bottle, it nearly rivals the price of a bottle of Chanel. Nearly. This shade of red is definitely worth it. It doesn’t stain and is wonderfully opaque in two coats.
YSL Rouge Pablo 49 is a bit of a cherry-red color with a liberal dose of a coral undertone and can even be a one coater if you can get away with it. Since I am horrible at putting polish on my nails, I did two coats. YSL Rouge Pablo 49 dried in record time and I was notably impressed because it had a bit of a jelly-like quality. While not a true jelly or a crelly, it does seem to have a jelly-like quality. I’m so bummed I missed out on the LE Rose Scabiosa that was sold with this wonderful color. The one time I tell myself to go easy on higher end nail polish is the one time I find I want it. Doesn’t it always happen that way?
It’s gorgeous and a great spring time and summer color.
Now that you’ve seen the color, would it make it into your collection?
Until next time,
Carinae
