Essie – It’s Genius

I have had this color forever. Like almost two years before I even swatched it. I’m not quite sure why I sat on it for so long, but it seems I’ve got other colors I’ve yet to do as well…and they’re Essie colors to boot! What the heck?

Not a blue for this Monday because the sun is shining…no green, but that’s reserved for the rest of the week.

Sinful Colors – Irish Green and Green Ocean

I can’t believe it’s March. Or that St Patrick’s Day is around the corner. I’ve received the usual inquiries about what we’re going to do for St Patty’s Day – are we going to go out drinking or are we going to stay home? The usual thing we do on days like this: we stay home.

Mr. Carinae and I are firm believers in the Karen Walker School of Thinking: Drinking during the holidays. So amateur.

However, just because we don’t go drinking on that particular day, it doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy the festivities that go on. I’m very early on these, but I wanted a little green on my Tuesday before I jaunt off to yoga class.

MAC Earthly Harmony

This color was part of MAC’s F/W 2010 Nail Trend collection. I wasn’t too enamored with the color in the bottle…Then I put it on me. It was, in short, GORGEOUS! I loved the faint copper/bronze shimmer/glitter in it. It saved this shade from being a typical creme greige of the season.

However, I ruined the mani.

Zoya – Nova

This is such a gorgeous glitter…and I hate glitter. I know I say it in practically every glitter post. I sound like my mother.

I love shiny things. I really do. I don’t know why I don’t like glitter polish. I think it’s the removal. I think I dislike it so much is the messiness of it all. However, I’ve found some cremes to be a total pain in the butt, though. I love red nail polish, but the staining on my skin, even when I use cuticle oil. Ugh. The staining!
