Nail bloggers who were proficient in nail art would each to a twin mani using set colors or design and show their interpretation of it…I liken our effort to be more a fraternal twin kind of thing. They sort of look alike, but the genetic base is the same. 😉
This is why I rarely do nail art. It’s such an epic fail on my part! I’m not sure if Claudia and I will have time to do these every week, but if the stars align, we can do this at least once every few months.
Claudia is a very good friend of mine from college. We bonded over having to write 100 page papers and critical political analysis…all while staying up late and running after buses. Ah, the life of when San Francisco was cool and friendly. I’m trying to get her to move to Seattle because she loves it here and I love being around her. She’s loads of fun and is always full of good advice for a lost, wayward soul such as myself.
Anyway, we settled on a cloud mani. I thought it would be fun and easy to do. Little did I know I’d spend an entire day on it. An entire DAY. I did go a little overboard. I texted her saying, “Um…I’m going to add stars (vinyl) and gold glitter to mine.” She was like, “Ok.” We decided on a red, white and blue theme because it’s the week of 4th of July.
Mine is horrendous. Remember Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter and how you wondered how the previous iterations of her costume must have looked like? I think this was that first horrible costume – concept, but man did it need work. When I finished the mani the only thing that ran through my head was, “GET US OUT FROM UNDER, WONDER WOMAAAAAN!!!”
It’s a horrible thing to keep looking at, so I am only going to give you one picture. Please don’t hold it against me. I now present…Twinsie Tuesday With Claudia!
Thank you for making it this far…Sorry to have hurt your sense of taste with my horrible nail art.
