It’s not quite the 4th, but when KB Shimmer Red, White & Blue-tiful arrived on my door step last Saturday, I knew I had to do something that involved it. Wouldn’t you?
According to the KB Shimmer site, KB Shimmer Red, White and Blue-tiful is described thusly, “Throughout the nation, the 4th of July is celebrated with the iconic color combination, red, white and blue. This year, our patriotic themed polish features mini metallic stars in those classic colors. We started with a holo marine blue star, added silver holo graphic stars, and finished with metallic red stars and a scattering of red holo stars. Swimming among the stars are micro red, sliver and blue glitters and micro holographic glitters for a sparkly finish. This limited edition polish will be available through the end of July.”
I normally shy away from patriotic glitters, but this really caught my eye for some reason. It was simple and understated. What? A simple and understated glitter? Ok, it has red, white and blue stars and red, white and blue regular glitter. It stands out, but it’s not mega blingy like some glitters. I had to get this. I decided to use KB Shimmer Red, White & Blue-tiful in a patriotic mani and played along with the whole colors of the American Flag thing. I normally don’t get patriotic glitters, but when I started digging around in my stash last year, I discovered I was missing them. I realized that I couldn’t quite do things I wanted to do. Yes, I had red, white and blue polish, but something about patriotic glitter just rounds out some patriotic manis. I think KB Shimmer Red White & Blue-tiful did a beautiful job on this mani, wouldn’t you agree?
I had fun doing this mani and used a pretty holographic red from Colors by Llarowe.
I used other nail polish colors and they are listed on the photo.

Thanks for making it this far.
Until next time,
