Because it’s a pie – I can’t put that in my pocket! It’s not snack-size enough, ya know? Well, maybe you can if you really want to, but I don’t.
I love this Pecan Bar recipe – it doesn’t use corn syrup! It actually uses honey – isn’t that great? I’m not a fan of corn syrup because it makes things sickly sweet – like I have to brush my teeth after every bite sweet kind of thing. I was just so happy to have found a pecan bar recipe that didn’t use corn syrup. WOO HOO!
I’ve tried a lot of recipes and of all of them, I’ve found this is the best one and does not need any modification at all. I’ve enjoyed it and I hope you do, too! I love this pecan bar recipe – it is quite lovely. It uses lemon and orange zest which adds a subtle nuance (oh…fancy foodie word!) that really brings everything to a new level of delicious.
Now…just a fair warning: this particular recipe takes a lot of butter – try nine sticks! Five for the crust and four for the pecan mix. I do love butter and if you do, this is the recipe for you. I make it infrequently because it’s so rich, but it is so good! I’m also told that this particular pecan bar recipe is lovely…and I do agree. It freakin’ rocks!
I haven’t forgotten about the nail polish…I’ve been swatching, just not posting. I’m going to be taking care of that very soon. In the meantime, enjoy my picture of the pecan bars I’ve made. I’ve also included a downloadable version at the bottom of the post.
