I had this total vision of greatness in my head – black base, kick butt Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns…framed manicure. I had one too many things going on and I shouldn’t have done that. However, as a framed manicure, Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns isn’t too bad.
The base is my regular black Sation polish – totally generic at $1.99 from my polish supply people. Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns is a whopping three coats. It dried quickly and each layer was more ornate and breathtaking with each stroke. I actually got a bit excited over this. Even better? I have an extra bottle I’m going to be doing a giveaway for in the upcoming week, with some extra bits thrown in.
Now, the framed manicure came about as an idea that I hoped would look awesome in real life as it did in my head. I’m going to be trying it with some different polishes, so you may be seeing it in the upcoming weeks.
Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns is this clear base with pink glitter and reddish-slightly orange bar glitter. Bar glitter kind of tweaks me out only because it’s hairy and slightly annoying to get on. However, once this bar glitter is on and the sunlight hits it juuuuuuuuust right, it is this amazing shade of red and orange. Come and let me know what you think.

Best shot of the framed manicure. The direct sunlight ones aren’t that great, but it showcases the manicure nicely.
The framed manicure doesn’t look so great here, but I love how the colors of Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns come into play. You can see the gorgeous pink glitter and the bar glitter.
The sun dimmed out the rest of the mani, but IÂ love how the red bar glitter looks in here – it shows flashes of red and orange.
