China Glaze Electric Pineapple

Thursday, 28 April, 2011

China Glaze Electric Pineapple is electrifying! Like, bright…in a good way. However, I’ve seen China Glaze Electric Pineapple on other girls and on me…I think my skin color just sucks the brightness and happiness out of this color. LOL It gets dull. Like I’m an abusive boyfriend or something.

China Glaze Electric Pineapple is part of their Summer 2011 collection called Island Escape.

Or maybe my camera freaks out at the intensity of the polish. Either way…come on over and see what the brightness is about!

Hm…Not quite the color of evil. I think it overshot the mark. Do you? 😉

China Glaze – 2Nite

Wednesday, 23 March, 2011

I was going to do a creme swatch the other day, but the sun came out and I feel like I’ve been buried in gray skies, despite the fact we haven’t really had rain in California in such a long time. I can’t complain. We need the rain.

Anyway, the sun came out and I felt like it was the gods smiling down upon me, granting me a clear moment (or two!) to get nail polish things done. I took advantage of it and have no regrets. I’ve been needing a break from playing Dragon Age 2. My xBox totally froze. Stupid MicroShite. To make it worse, it was right in the frakkin’ middle of the huge end battle with Knight Commander Meredith. I snapped a pic with my phone because I just couldn’t believe it. I thought the game was just loading…and then it just froze on that screen. I was waiting for the cut scene. Didn’t happen. No, I’m not angry or annoyed at all. *rolls eyes* I think I was never meant to finish this game. It’s been a bit of drama with the xbox ever since I started playing. Grrr.

Anyway, I am all irritated just looking at that picture.

Here is the polish I have for you today…

China Glaze – Octa Gone Wild and QT

Friday, 18 March, 2011

I’ve been slacking. I fully admit it, though I hang my head in shame when I say why. I’m sadly sucked into the world of a video game I’m playing – Dragon Age 2. This is my first time playing an RPG (role playing game). Traditionally, I’ve played MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role playing game) – EverQuest and WoW to name a couple. So this time I’m playing DA2 on the XBox. I’ve been bound and determined to finish the game, but I’m about 75% through the game and I realized…I hate how my character is relating to another. What have I done? Why, I’ve scrapped the game and started a new one…and am discovering new quests and relationships because I’ve changed one line of dialogue. So while thrilled, I’m also going, “OMG. What have I gotten into?!”

Anyway, since I didn’t do a post yesterday I’m throwing in the color along with my Friday Red.

I am showing you my attempt at doing a week of Holographic polish…here are 2 polishes from China Glaze – Octa Gone Wild and QT

China Glaze – L8R G8R

Wednesday, 16 March, 2011

Several years ago, China Glaze released a line of holographic nail polish that caused quite a stir within us polish lovers. At the time I purchased a few colors that I felt were the ones I needed. Since then I’ve been dying to get the entire collection because they discontinued the Kaleidoscope and both of the OMG collections. You can, if you’re lucky, find some of the original silver capped bottles languishing in some nail polish supply stores.

They started out with the Kaleidoscope collection, then they added the OMG 2B HOT and OMG 2BKEWL. 2BHOT was the warmer toned shades of the holographic collection, gorgeous yet failing thanks to my gimp skin tone. 2BKEWL was the cooler colors and they looked great on me. I have all the colors of 2BHOT and 2BKEWL, but am missing half of the colors for the Kaleidoscope collection – boooooo.

Today’s offering is from the 2B KEWL collection:

I got this collection last year – all 12 colors and I have been going through them so slowly…this is from China Glaze’s Fall 2010 collection called Vintage Vixen. I wish I could tell you why it’s taken me forever to go through them, but I can’t.

At any rate, this is what I have on offer for you!

China Glaze – Below Deck vs Channelesque

Tuesday, 18 January, 2011

Below Deck is from China Glaze’s new Spring 2011 collection, Anchors Away. When China Glaze discontinued Channelesque, it was a sad day for nail polish lovers. I happened to find a bottle of it in the clearance bin of the nail polish guy I frequent in Arizona. I got it for a $1.50. Had I known it was discontinued, I’d have picked up the other bottle!

However, Below Deck is a good substitute.

Come on in and see why I think it’s a good thing!
