China Glaze Emerald Sparkle

This is a bit different than the others…I had this great idea in my head and started pulling out colors. One of them was this bad ass gorgeous gal I hadn’t pulled out in a while.

Originally this was going to be freehand nail art based on the movie The Matrix. Freehand? Nail art. LOLOLOL I had started by pulling a black polish and then looking for some shade of green that would play well on the black background so it would look like all the green lettering from the movie – I hope you know what I mean. The green on black is pretty well-recognized. Anyway, pulled all these super fun greens out and suddenly saw Emerald Sparkle by China Glaze. It is a bit of a blackened jelly green base with this fabulous green glitter to give it some serious kick…and kick it does. The glitter just glows! So much so I kept thinking of the Matrix.

The Matrix really is one of my favorite movies. The other 2 after them didn’t do it for me like the first one did. I loved Trinity kicking ass. I loved Morpheus’ role of showing Neo the way. My all time favorite scene out of that movie is the opening sequence with Trinity running for her life. I remember busting up laughing when Agent Smith (Hugo Smith) came on to the screen because all I could do was imagine him from a scene in a movie he was in called Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. He was on top of a stalled tour bus, wearing a green sequin dress, practicing some dance moves. Someone came to help him, but saw him dancing…realized he was a man in a green sequin dress, and drove off. The look on the person’s face was priceless. So yea, I was dying in the theater when he came on. I’m so easily amused.

Anyway…The sunlight shot is where it really looks like Matrix colors. Shade wise, it still is quite pretty. You can see it starting to glow.
