Butter London All Hail The Queen … er, McQueen

Tuesday, 22 February, 2011

Originally part of their Fall 2010 collection, this was a gorgeous color I liked on other people.

The original name for Butter London All Hail The Queen was “All Hail McQueen” and I’m bummed I didn’t get it when it was called that.

Butter London All Hail The Queen is a great lovely neutral, isn’t it? I’d compare it to Chanel’s Brown Sugar, but we all know nothing compares to it, so I won’t even start. This color claims to be a holographic shade. I think that’s a bit…of a misnomer. Probably more of a microglitter, but holographic it ain’t, girlfriend. I’d say it was more of a scattered, gentle holo. I think I’m still so used to the China Glaze collections.

O.o I see you wannabe holographic coming through in the sunshine! It’s still not what I’d call holographic, but it’s making a cute little attempt at showing up. Baby steps, Butter London, baby steps. For now, leave the holographics up to the big boys like NFU Oh, China Glaze, Milani and Color Club! When you’re ready to shine, you have to come out swinging.

Butter London does one good – makes a nail polish that dries fast and is wonderfully opaque in two coats. It also smells fab, too! Overall, something worth purchasing to have in your collection.
