Butter London Pitter Patter was created in anticipation of Kate Middleton giving birth this year…

Girlfriend gave birth and ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! July 22, 2013. I’m like 24293550847526 years old and woo hoo! I have a king born on my birthday. Anyway, I wanted to show off this color when she dropped the royal sprog.

This is a deep purple – I want to say eggplant, but it’s not quite eggplant (aubergine)nor is it a royal purple. It’s just a flat out gorgeous shade. I love it and I’ve worn it several times ever since I got it back in May. I love the subtle purple and red shimmer that keeps it from being a purple that everyone has seen.

The formula was wonderful – it didn’t get that awful brush stroke thing…you know, when you apply some metallic polishes, and if you didn’t apply it just right, you’d see all the brushstrokes that threw off the mani? Some people don’t really care, but I myself get driven crazy by things like that. The shimmer wasn’t dense enough for it. WHEW.

The formula on this dried quickly and I was really pleased with the color overall. Butter London done good!

Here it is, in all its purple royal glory…

Super gorgeous purple here in the shade.

The flash shows some of the shimmer and plays it up a smidge.

The shimmer really comes out here in the sun and it had red and purple. I had flashbacks to a color called Russian Navy, but with a purple base.
