This is not to be confused with China Glaze’s New Bohemian Luster Chrome collection that came out in Fall 2012.
This was released in Fall 2011…and I’ve yet to swatch this collection. So this is my first offering.
While a bit chalky for me, it was also streaky…you can see it in the overcast shot on my pointer finger. I did my best to try and get it to blend into a nice cohesive application, but it was also moody. I finally gave up when I realized I may very well end up with three thick coats that wouldn’t dry at all. I had to know when to let it go.
Polish application aside, Color Club New Bohemian is really a stunning color. My camera is making this look lighter than what it really is. It’s actually a shade or two darker. It’s richer and far more vibrant in person. If you like China Glaze’s For Audrey or MAC’s Peppermint Patty, you will definitely be a fan of this.
Sadly, while this color ROCKED IT as in color rocked it, duration/durability was TEH SUCK. It was pretty bad. The next day there was some serious tip wear and then mid day, it chipped. I nearly had a heart attack. The shots below were taken in the morning. Now I know I’m rough on my nails, but I’m not THAT rough anymore. I don’t use any harsh chemicals, I’m not sanding or filing down any pieces of jewelry…so I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Aaaanyway…
It’s a pity I only got two swatches of this color because while it’s a good representation of the color, it’s not the best…sadly the best representation is in person. So…go out and get a bottle! You won’t regret it.
