It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Pizzicato looks so different on me than it is on other people. On me, it looks like a pastel pink with a hint of lavender. It has gorgeous glass fleck-like glitter. Described by Ji from Rescue Beauty Lounge as “Pizzicato — inspired by the gentle tiny taps of rain droplets as they hit the tin roof, reminiscent of plucked strings. A misty white with the faintest hint of lavender, Pizzicato has a shimmer that acts like prisms of light in a sun shower.” It was a bit chalky on the first coat. Second coat was a little hard to manage, but it worked wonderfully when it all came together.
Poco a Poco is this gorgeous pink that has some beautiful gold shimmer through it. It’s this gorgeous balance between cool and warm. The cool pink base mixed with a warm golden shimmer is perfect for all skin types. Ji describes it as “This is a shade that changes from moment to moment. It’s the stunning, sparkling pink of a fanning cloud when the red and orange rays of the sun are trying to burst through“. Very aptly put. I simply love this color. This was a two coater that had me worried at first – it was streaky on the first run, but beautiful on the second.
Piú Mosso is this gorgeous inky blue creme base with flecks of a golden/bronze shimmer running through it. It is truly gorgeous and subtle. I love it. Ji said of this, “Later, the ominous dark clouds bled into the sky with a fast-moving wind. Piú Mosso is an inky, blue-black that shoots through a flash of orange, the last glow of sunlight.”
Fortissimo is the only creme out of this collection and it is this super dark espresso brown. I can’t quite describe it, really. I said espresso brown because that’s what it looks like on me. On others, it looks like this brooding shade of grey or a deep purple plum. I love how this is such a surprising color that can shift with different skin tones! Ji describes this color as “At last, when the light left the sky and the wind started to roar, the sky turned into a shade beyond description—a dark greenish, blackish, brown, leading to a powerful Fortissimo, the finale chord of The Fire Bird“. A nice way to finish off a very personal collection.
Overall, this collection was able to be wonderfully opaque in two medium coats. It’s a bit on the pricey side with each color ringing in at $18 per bottle. Granted, after my time in Sweden, I no longer flinch when I see that price. I paid a lot more for polish when I was there, so I think of $18 as a bargain! I still maintain that this collection is worth every pretty shiny penny.
