One more thing! All of these colors were two coats that dried in record time. I’m happy when companies get their formulas right.
This was a total surprise for me…Tinsel Town really was so not part of what I was expecting for this collection. That’s a really good thing. I love that this has a light charcoal grey base and then totally explodes with different shaped silver glitters. Click and see this super cool glitter polish up close.
Glittering Garland is this pretty color that, for a brief moment, had me totally dying. Then I went, “Hey…have I seen this before?” I have. Below you will see a shot from last year, comparing Orly’s Meet Me Under The Mistletoe, Zoya’s Ivanka and China Glaze’s Mistletoe Kisses. I will have to do a side by side comparison of Orly’s Meet Me Under The Mistletoe and China Glaze’s Glittering Garland. For now, you will have to settle for a shot from last year.
Icicle is a nice and shiny color that is foil-esque to me. It’s not really as bangin’ shiny as some would like, but it does make a nice impression. However, this is a silver that’s been done before. If you have a silver foil, you can skip this.
When I first saw this in the bottle, I went, “Oh dear…China Glaze is doing a Ruby Pumps. They’re ripping themselves off.” I was wrong. This has different shaped sizes of glitter in a red base. I happened to like this. At two coats, this really covered well. I would definitely sport this color – it’s really glittery and pretty…Can you see how some of the glitter tried to sparkle in the sunlight? It really delivers in person.
Twinkle Lights is this…awesome set of twinkling lights! You see this come to life in the sun. It looks nice and subdued in the shade, but in the sun is fabulous. Wouldn’t you agree?
This is a pretty gold that is too warm for me. I like the idea of the smattering of glitter in here so it doesn’t overpower the basic base of this shade. Pity it doesn’t look fab on me. It is a fab color, though!
Blue Year’s Eve is on my pointer and middle finger. Ring finger is Snow Globe. Pinky is BYE with SG layered over it. BYE is almost foil-like again. Snow Globe is a re-release. It’s fun white glitter that has various shapes and a butt-load of iridescence.
This shade of green is…wonderful. I like how easily it applied. It didn’t bubble despite the fact that I even rushed the application. What bubbled was the top coat! Boo…I love this creme! It also makes a great layering color. What do you think?
This is a wonderful shade of red. It’s super bright and shiny. I have to admit, this has me smitten!
Another great red. I definitely preferred this red to Poinsettia. This was a slightly darker shade and coverage was fabulous. It’s wonderfully bright and shiny.
Velvet Bow was a nice almost wine-y red on me. A bit vampy. Really nice. However, I feel like I have a color like this in my collection.
Overall a nice collection. Nothing made me want to do cartwheels. Don’t get me wrong – it’s nice and solid and I’m happy to have these colors in my collection…now, my question is…would you be happy to have these colors? Somewhere along the way I have an extra set that could become yours.
