What would Carinae do?

I’ve been getting emails from my friends who have jumped on my little nail polish bandwagon. They want to know what I use for my base coat and top coat and why have I chosen those particular ones…

So, here we go! 🙂

For my base coat, I use either Poshe’s Basecoat or Nubar’s Foundation Base Coat.

For my top coat, which is fast drying – it can dry my entire manicure in under 5 minutes providing I do reasonable coats. 😉 If you apply polish heavy handed (like me), you will get tip shrinkage. What the top coat will do is make the top of your polish nice and shiny. If I know I’ve done heavy handed applications, I wait 5 minutes between coats and then put on the top coat to minimize shrinkage. I usually give the top coat 6 minutes and can just go right after. I’m careful, of course. Usually after 15 minutes, my polish is completely dry down to the base coat. I’m not saying go out and garden right after it dries, but you know what I mean!

I prefer Poshe because there is no stinky Formaldehyde that gives me a headache the moment I open the bottle.
