I am incredibly, ecstatically happy to report that I had Z E R O problems with this brand. Maybe LCN just had issues…but at any rate, Nails Inc really worked some serious wonders with this formula.
I must say that please, please, PLEASE excuse the big old gaps on Trafalgar Square (grey) – I put the ‘lip’ of the magnet part right on the polish! Call me silly and extremely lazy…I just didn’t feel like fixing it. Think of it as a warning sign if you decide to purchase this polish – don’t put that lip part on the nail bed. Anyway, I hope you all like this collection and I hope that Nails Inc comes out with more colors.
The magnet pattern is very pronounced and my only complaint is that it is the same pattern for Houses of Parliament, too. BOO! The one thing LCN had going for it was the patterns…just an absolute pity I couldn’t get it right. I do know that I was doing it correctly because voilà – see my swatches below.
Some final notes: I used 2 coats for this – the first coat like a regular nail polish and then when it came time for the second coat, I did one at a time because I had to put the second coat on and then use the magnet. I found the formula to be quick drying – a total joy. Coverage seemed to be all right, but it really didn’t matter because you were using the magnets. For what it’s worth, I also used a base coat and had no problems with the polish at all. When I used base coat with LCN, it was just a hot mess. Also, this polish is more bang for your buck – you get more polish in the bottle vs LCN. I don’t mean to make it sound like I’m anti-LCN magnetic polishes, but when comparing the two, I find that Nails Inc trumps in terms of usage. However, LCN wins in terms of color choices.
Nails Inc has 3 colors – grey (Trafalgar Square), purple (Houses of Parliament) and gold (Big Ben, not pictured). LCN has 12 to choose from. Maybe I’ll give LCN another shot…*cries*
