Revlon – Not So Blueberry

Monday, 7 February, 2011

This particular Monday started out as such…I was driving hubby to the train station. While stuck in traffic this is how the conversation went:

Me: (holding my fingertips under his nose) SMELL MY FINGERS!

Him: (shaking his head and holding his breath)

Me: Seriously, smell my fingers!

Him: (sniffs cautiously) Oh…that smells quite nice! It smells like blueberries!

I had read about these polishes last year, but never bothered to get them. I’m still a silly search for Paradoxal – I know, I know. Color me optimistic, ok?! – and in that search I happened to see this in the drugstore. I bought one color because it was the one that appealed to me the most.

It’s a gorgeous lilac, sort of purple blue. A blurple! Plus, it does smell like blueberries. Which inspired me to make Blueberry Coffee Cake today! It turned out great. I have to take pictures before it’s all gone.

The formula for this was all right, but I had to do 4 coats in order for it to look this opaque. It dried quickly and I still keep sniffing my nails. I’m sure it looks pretty revolting to those who see me doing it. But I’ll do the same thing to them that I did to my husband. 😉 Ah, the joys of juvenile humor…

These shots don’t capture the gorgeousness…it has a faint blue-green shimmer through it as well. It’s a gorgeous color that is worth the purchase!
